San Rafael, CA – On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, San Rafael Police Officers responded to a report of a brazen robbery in progress at the Home Consignment Center in San Rafael.  While customers were shopping at the time, several suspects smashed display cases and stole jewelry.  Officers arrived in minutes, interviewed witnesses, and reviewed store surveillance video footage.  This is an active investigation, and SRPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible.  Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident.

Just after 5:00 PM, SRPD Dispatch began receiving numerous calls about a retail store robbery in progress.  It was reported that several suspects came into the Home Consignment Center and began smashing display cases with hammers.  Witnesses watched as the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry from the damaged display cases.  The suspects completed the robbery in about one minute and fled the scene.
