Report of Gun Shots Being Fired

On January 05, 2013 at 1:33 pm, the San Rafael Police Department received a call of shots being fired in the area of Playa Del Rey and Vista Del Mar in the City of San Rafael.  Several witnesses reported hearing two gun shots and then observing 2-5 male subjects running in opposite directions.  One of the subjects was seen holding a hand gun.  San Rafael Police Officers responded to the area and quickly established a perimeter. 

A thorough search of the area was conducted and no evidence, suspects, or victims were located.  The subjects were described as being Hispanic males in their early twenties and wearing dark clothing. 

This case will remain under investigation for any possible leads.
