On Friday, December 16, 2011 at 9:30 pm, SRPD officers responded to a Terra Linda home on a medical aid call that turned into an unreported stabbing incident. The victim, a 20 year old San Rafael resident, was involved in an earlier altercation fronting the Northgate mall when he was leaving the movie theatre with his date. The victim was confronted by 8 to 10 Hispanic males outside the mall and when he tried to flee on foot the subjects gave chase. After a short chase, the victim was knocked to the ground where he was punched and kicked multiple times. The victim was also stabbed once to the back. The victim suffered a stab wound to his upper back that punctured a lung. The victim was rushed to MGH by SRFD paramedics where he was treated for the stab wound and numerous injuries about his face and torso area. He was admitted to the MGH ICU unit in stable condition.
