Marin County Law Enforcement Officers Team up to Fight Human Trafficking at Local Hotels

On Friday, March 24th, officers and deputies from the San Rafael Police Department, the Marin County Sherriff’s Office and the Marin County Probation Department worked together on a Human Trafficking Operation to target prostitution-related crimes at San Rafael hotels. Twelve men were arrested for solicitation of prostitution and released with citations.  A 42-year-old female sex worker from Daily City was contacted, but did not meet the criteria for being a victim of Human Trafficking.

The focus of the operation was on the "demand" side of prostitution to promote awareness about Human Trafficking and educate the “johns” or “purchasers” about their conduct.  

The following were cited for solicitation of prostitution:

  • Fenn Stewart Pervier, a 63-year old male from San Rafael
  • Joel Alejandro Tucubal Ajquiy, a 30-year old male from San Rafael
  • Berlin Martinez Gramajo, a 19-year old male from San Rafael
  • Menfel Dejesus Garcia Lopez, a 23-year old male from San Rafael
  • Luis Santos Diaz, a 27-year old male from San Rafael
  • Justo Perez, a 34-year old male from San Rafael
  • Diven Mazariegos, a 29-year old male from San Rafael
  • Lazaro Lopez Morales, a 28-year old male from San Rafael
  • Juan Francisco Cux Santay, a 24-year old male from San Rafael
  • Vicente Chable Pool, a 32-year old male from San Rafael
  • Fidel Tiu Ixcotoy Ac, a 30-year old male from San Rafael
  • Peter Bloom, a 58-year old male from San Rafael
