Demand Note Robbery at WestAmerica Bank in North San Rafael

On Friday, March 10, 9:39 am, the San Rafael Police Department received a silent robbery alarm from WestAmerica Bank, 1 Mitchell Blvd, San Rafael.  SRPD requested mutual aid assistance from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.  MCSO deputies arrived on scene and confirmed a robbery had occurred and the suspect had already left the scene.  Witnesses stated the suspect presented a demand note.  No weapons were mentioned or seen.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35 years, with short black hair, wearing black framed glasses, a white dress shirt with dark tie, a dark (possibly blue) double-breasted pea coat (waist length), dark dress pants (possibly brown) and black dress shoes.

There were no injuries and the loss is unknown at this time.
