On December 3, 2016 SRPD Investigated an overnight burglary at the Sherwin Williams Paint Center, located at 444 DuBois Street, in San Rafael.  One of the items stolen was a commercial grade paint sprayer, valued at approximately $7000.

Employees of the paint center gave Officers the description and serial numbers for the stolen items.  One employee of Sherwin Williams checked on-line websites and found a similar item for sale.  He notified SRPD Detectives who then engaged the seller in an on-line negotiation for the purchase of the stolen paint sprayer.
