San Rafael, CA – October 30, 2013. San Rafael Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a Terra Linda bank this morning and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. The suspect appears to be the same one responsible for a series of Marin bank robberies that began late last year.
SRPD received a hold-up alarm shortly after 9 a.m. from the Wells Fargo Bank at 600 Las Gallinas Avenue. The suspect entered the bank, went to a teller and demanded cash. No weapon was seen. He then immediately left the bank through the front doors that face Las Gallinas Avenue. The robber is described as a white male in his 40s or early 50’s. He was wearing a black jacket, black gloves, dark-frame eye glasses, and a black baseball cap with writing or a logo on the front.
Today’s crime is the ninth in the series that began in December, 2012. The robbery streak has included banks in Greenbrae, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, San Anselmo, and San Rafael. In some of the previous crimes the robber wore a knitted cap with ear flaps and he often strikes on Wednesdays.
The below photo is from the bank’s surveillance camera. Anyone with information is asked to call San Rafael Police at 415.485.3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS (8477).
