Stalking Arrest
On April 4, 2011, John C. Singleton, a 47 year old Palo Alto resident was arrested and booked on suspicion of stalking a San Rafael Family. Singleton met the victim in 2009 and after a falling out, started stalking the victim and his family via the internet and telephone. Singleton is suspected of stalking the family for the past two years.
Singleton was arrested today entering a Palo Alto Apple Retail store, one of the same stores he is believed to frequent because of the free access to the internet.
The victim and his family had lived in fear for their lives over the past couple years, investing in a new security system and extra flood lights. A restraining order has been sought. Singleton was booked at the Marin County Jail for 646.9a PC and is being held on a $100,000 bail.
