Schug Carneros Estate Winery and San Rafael Joe’s are partnering with the San Rafael Police Department to benefit Camp Chance.
Join us on March 9th at San Rafael Joe’s hosted by Schug Winery’s Winemaker Michael Cox to benefit Camp Chance, a 5-day summer camp for at-risk youth.
Now in its 14th year, Camp Chance is a 5-day residential summer camp that brings peace officers and children together to build rapport and deter youth crime. Camp Chance offers kids a structured camping and counseling experience with a mix of challenging physical, mental and emotional activites. In addition, peace officers provide interactive demonstrations to help the kids learn about various aspecs of law enforcement.
Over 600 middle school youth have benefited from this program since its inception in 1999
and the cost is completly supported by donations. Camp Chance was created by the
San Rafael Police Department in collaboration with the Marin County Sheriff’s
Department and the Marin Office of Education.
